Modi takes aim at Akhilesh's alliance with New Bua - Mamata Banerjee
Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, led a rally in Kolkata themed 'Mahila Der Adhikaar, Aamader Angikaar' (women's rights are our commitment).
Mamata Banerjee marched alongside members of the TMC Mahila Morcha from College Square to Dharmatalla. Amidst this, Mamata addressed the crowd taking a direct aim at PM Modi, accusing BJP leaders of spreading misinformation about the Sandeshkhali incident while remaining silent on the atrocities against women in states governed by their own party.
In a fiery address at the rally, Mamata Banerjee questioned the BJP's motives, saying, "Why this animosity towards Bengal, Pintu Babu? Where were you when women were paraded naked in Manipur? Where were you when a woman was horrifically burnt after being raped in Hathras?"
She further asserted that "Bengal is the safest state for women. I will not hesitate to take action against Trinamool leaders if needed."
She called upon the people of Bengal to stand against the BJP, urging, "If you want to safeguard Bengal and the nation, raise your voice against the BJP's divisive politics."
